![]() ![]() Indeed, plan on shoveling sand into the bottom of the hole, as sand gives you a base that is malleable (allowing you to play with the height of the preformed liner). But if the hole ends up being too big, you can correct your mistake afterward by applying sand. The depth and diameter of your waterfall pond's hole should roughly match the corresponding dimensions for your preformed liner. Besides, the overhang of the waterfall structure will just be in your way while digging. ![]() ![]() If you were to build the cascading waterfall structure first and then dig the waterfall pond, you might undermine those rocks. This entails placing some of the bottom rocks very close to the waterfall pond. Take care of the waterfall pond structure first, simply because you'll be laying your rocks for the cascading waterfall structure in such a way that the front of it overhangs the waterfall pond. There is an easy way to guide your shovel as you dig: turn the liner over on the ground, upside-down, where you want the pond to be, and trace out your circle. To be sure there are no leaks inside the wall you can have a technician do a "moisture content" test of your wall. a dishwasher will be a lot less water but will cycle maybe 3 times in a row separated by a few minutes. you will hear the water noise at least twice. the spin cycle could be the hum you hear. the washing machine will drain followed by at least one rinse a few minutes later. a bath will likely happen only once in a day or even a week. You can probably tell which it is by timing. They could also have a washing machine or dishwasher that is emptying. it would probably help to relax a little. since most people don't have time for a nice leisurely, comfortable, relaxing, warm bath anymore you might hear shower sounds much more often. ![]() that could be the exceptional noise you hear. Hi julieh while the toilet and shower might make familiar noises, if someone takes a bath then there is much more water involved when it it drained. I guess I am trying to:Ģ- assessing the situation if I can't be reassured and go to see the neighbours and call a professionnal plumber if needed. Now, it is just a description of the "kind of noise" it is, as if it really was running out of the pipes and hittings my walls, all the tiles would come off I imagine and the water damage would be very visible.Īre there different type of noises like the one I described when everything is normal? And if yes, why don't I hear the same "normal" noise every time but instead randomly hear that noise like heavy rain hitting a shower screen? It almost seems like the water would be falling out of the pipes and hitting the drywall. I hear the water running down very shortly and "smoothly".īut that type of noise is so different. And same when they turn on water from the sink. I hear water running down the pipes behind the tiled walls. I can hear when the neighbours (first floor or perhaps above) just flush normally. I would gladly agree with you if I wasn't hearing different types of sounds. Re: Loud noise like a "waterfall" after neighbourgh flush Many many thanks, as your reply might reconciliate me with sleep! I sometimes also hear like a humming noise that lasts forever after the "waterfall" noise. I have no idea what it is and would like to get advice from a plumber or somebody who had the exact same problem please. There is a real difference between hearing water going down the pipes (when the neighbours open their faucet) or normal flush. Sorry for the description, it's really hard to put words on it and everytime I talk about this to someone they simply say that it's normal I hear noises on a groundfloor. I am a bit worried as since I've moved into this flat (groundfloor of a block of flats), I am awaken at night randomly by what seems to be a waterfall noise or fountain or something like water falling hard (a bit like if rain was falling very fast on a shower screen) behind my walls in the bathrooms.
